Canyoning Australia is thrilled to announce our 2026 Photo Competition, inviting photographers of all skill levels to capture and showcase the beauty of Australia’s canyons.
About the competition
We’re here to celebrate the canyons of Down Under!
This year, there won’t be any specific categories beyond the best photo. We’re open to nature shots or action shots featuring people. The only requirement is that the photo must inspire and depict an Australian canyon. This could be descending a waterfall, performing a daring jump or striking a pose against a breathtaking canyon backdrop.
How to Enter
Entering the competition is easy:
Be a member of Canyoning Australia to be eligible for prizes. Non-members can enter but won’t win prizes only recognition.
Capture your best canyoning photos and show us how good canyoning in Australia can be.
All photos must be of Australian Canyons
Submit your photos via email to auscanyoningassoc+photocomp@gmail.com. Please include a brief description of each photo (the canyon, a bit about the trip, persons featured etc). You can submit as many as you want.
Include your full name and contact details in your email.

Terms & Conditions
Eligibility: All entries must be from Australian canyoning locations.
Submission Method: Photos must be submitted via email to auscanyoningassoc+photocomp@gmail.com
Image Use: By submitting your image, you grant Canyoning Australia non-exclusive licence and permission to use the images to promote canyoning in Australia across various platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and the Canyoning Australia website. Proper credit will be given to the photographer.
Judging: Entries will be judged by the Canyoning Australia committee, based on creativity, composition, technical quality, and relevance to the spirit of canyoning.
