Blue Mountains National Park closures

Post by T2 » 04 Dec 2019, 09:34

Remote parts of Blue Mountains National Park have been closed until further notice due to dangerous fire conditions.

The closure covers all walking tracks, canyons and rock climbing below cliffs out of Mount Wilson, Bell, Green Gully, south of Katoomba to Woodford and into the Grose Valley.

Closured canyons include all those flowing into the Grose Valley, except Grand Canyon (Mt Hay / Butterbox, Fortress, Arethusa, Hat Hill, Claustral, Ranon, Thunder, Yileen, Dalpura, etc, etc).

All canyons north of Bells Line, including those that flow into the Wollangambe and Bowens Creek, are also closed.

Empress Canyon is closed, along with the lesser visited creeks flowing off Kings Tableland.
