Remote canyoneering over nine days in West Canyon (Navajo Nation)

Post by T2 » 11 Mar 2019, 12:19

A few friends of mine were part of this 2017 trip to a very remote and rarely visited canyoning area in the US.

The trip ran over nine days and required a helicopter shuttle in and out.

Not only is it an enjoyable video, it captures some really interesting ghosting techniques that are probably foreign to most Australian canyoners. Look closely and you'll see water and sand anchors used. Both are techniques that allow for safe anchors without the need to bolt or leave slings and other items behind.
