Afternoon all,
On Saturday morning (September 15) I'll be running a brief workshop on using a fiddlestick retrievable anchor for a couple people at Blaxland in the lower Blue Mountains.
It will only take a few hours, starting at 9am and finishing by about 11.30am. We will go through the basic concept and practice tying and retrieving the system.
If you're interested in coming along flick me an email t2 [at] fatcanyoners.org.
I will be arranging some other training days to cover more advanced rigging in future, so reply below or fill out the form at the bottom of this post and I will keep you in the loop re future training days.

Re: Fiddlestick training session
Great workshop T2 (and Bron & Kosta), am now a convert ... it was great to practice the set up with a range of scenarios to reassure myself that it was something I'd find useful. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your experience with us.

Thanks Marilyn. Was great to finally catch up with you in person.
I was quite amazed how many people came along at such short notice and how enthusiastic everyone was. Definitely the inspiration I need to organise a few more of these workshops.

Re: Fiddlestick training session
I'm running a couple more training sessions this weekend.
Both will take place in Blaxland (just off the highway, and accessible by public transport).
On Friday afternoon (9/11/2018) I'll be running a brief workshop between about 6pm and 8pm. I will cover basic use of fiddlestick style retrievable anchors, including the concept, how to tie / rig them, retrieval, and pull cord management.
On Sunday morning (11/11/2018) I'll run a slightly longer, slightly more detailed workshop from about 8.30am to 12.30pm. It will cover the same points as the first session, but we'll also have more time for practice as well as going into more detail on some of the less conventional anchoring options that this technique opens up.
If you're interested in coming along, send me an email: t2 [at] fatcanyoners.org.
I'll provide further details to people of where to meet and what to bring once you sign up.
