Arethusa Canyon exit despite the description on this website does not have fixed ropes on the grade 12 and grade 16 climbing pitch’s. Climbing or at least approach shoes and a lightweight dynamic (climbing) rope is highly desirable. Some quite strenuous, unprotected fixed rope climbing also required...

Someone has removed the fixed ropes on the bottom 2 pitch’s of climbing. Climbing out with packs of wet wetsuits etc considerably harder than grade 10 without rock shoes. Would suggest a lightweight dynamic rope and a leader with climbing shoes and seconders with approach shoes.
